One system for every store, warehouse and ledger.
Momentum puts point of sale, inventory, transfers, purchasing and double-entry accounting on one set of records, with unlimited users per location and tills that keep selling offline.
Most multi-store retailers run a POS, a spreadsheet for stock moving between stores, and accounting software the numbers are re-keyed into. Every handoff is where the numbers stop matching. Momentum is built so a sale, a receipt, a transfer and a payment each happen once, and post to the books themselves.
Every location on one set of records
Stock, sales and books are kept per location and compared side by side. Location Leaderboard and Location P&L rank stores and warehouses on the same measures.
Transfers that account for every unit
Stock moves through requested, approved, dispatched, in transit and received. Units missing on arrival must be returned or written off, with a reason.
Books that post themselves
Every sale, receipt, transfer and payment posts balanced double-entry journals per location, in multiple currencies with rates you set, and every change is kept on a hash-chained audit log.
Purchasing that starts from what sold
Purchase orders are prefilled from sales history: plain arithmetic on what sold, what is in stock and what is on order. Nothing is ordered automatically. Partial receiving, purchase returns and landed cost are built in.
Tills that keep selling offline
Sales are saved on the device and sync when the connection returns, never twice. Below-cost sales and price overrides need a person with permission, and credit limits are enforced at the till.
Wholesale from the same stock
Wholesale prices, customer credit limits and payment terms run from the same stock as the tills, with statements per customer and per location.
What Momentum is not
Momentum has no online store, and it does not process card payments itself: cards run on your existing terminal and Momentum records how each sale was paid. It does not use machine learning to forecast or reorder. AI features are optional, off until you switch them on, and priced separately.
A retail ERP runs the back office of a store business on one set of records: selling, stock, purchasing, customers and accounting. Momentum is that for multi-store retail and wholesale.
